Oh, my God... why didn’t they go for this design?! Minus the tent-peg soft top, this rear looks amazing. I just can’t love the production ND tail.

Eh. I like the production rear much better. Mazda did a concept version with that style top. Saw it at an auto show. EDIT: Mazda Miata Spyder Concept

The Japanese one is terrible. I get it (LOLPOPUPS), but it looks awful.

I love the ND rear end. I applaud Mazda for having the guts to put a very concept-y car into production. But that means not everyone will like it.
